Bogor Regency (ANTARA) - The Government of Bogor Regency has broken the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) record after delivering public services for 100 hours non-stop in commemoration of Bogor Anniversary Day (HJB) the 544th. The Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto in Cibinong, on Friday, said the achievement is not merely ceremonial but a basis for evaluating to improve the quality of public services in Bogor Regency. ‘This is not only a 100-hour achievement, but must be a basis for evaluation,’ Rudy said. He explained that the 100-hour non-stop service programme is a continuation of similar activities last year which lasted 80 hours. According to Rudy, public service in Bogor Regency needs to adjust to the region’s character as a satellite area of the capital, hence licensing service operating hours should be extended. Rudy noted that many residents of Bogor Regency only arrive home late after working in Jakarta and surrounding areas, thus needing access to public services outside normal working hours. ‘Many of our people finish work in the late afternoon, return to Bogor until the evening and want to process several licenses, so licensing offices should be open until late,’ he said. In addition to licensing services, Rudy also highlighted the importance of civil administration as the foundation for citizens to obtain various government services. He asked the Department of Population and Civil Records (Disdukcapil) to be more proactive in encouraging the public to complete civil registration documents. According to him, documents such as the national identity card (KTP) and family card (KK) form the basic foundation for people to obtain rights from education to government social assistance. ‘It may seem simple, from the national identity card and family card, but that is the basic foundation to obtain its rights as a citizen,’ Rudy said. Meanwhile, Agus Ridho, Head of the Bogor Regency Department of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP), explained that the 100-hour non-stop public service lasted five days from 18 to 22 May 2026, involving 31 service tenants from regional devices and vertical agencies. The services available include civil registration administration, Police Record Certification (SKCK), and various other licensing services. He said the programme received high public enthusiasm because it provides time flexibility for residents who could not manage administrative matters during the day. ‘We see the queue of people remaining busy until the evening,’ he said.
