A state primary school in Parung Panjang, Bogor Regency, has been targeted by thieves, losing electronic goods including computers, laptops, and a projector. The incident was confirmed by Parung Panjang Police Chief AKP M Taufik on Monday, who stated that the school filed an official report at around 1 p.m. local time.

The theft was first discovered by a school security guard at approximately 5 a.m. It is suspected that the perpetrators entered by breaking a small side gate before forcing open the doors and windows of the teachers’ room and storage area.

“Based on information and checks, a number of items were taken, several electronic devices such as a printer, PC, monitor, projector, and sound system. The total loss is still being estimated,” said Taufik. He added that officers are examining the crime scene, questioning witnesses, and searching for other clues to identify the culprits.

The head of SD Negeri 1 Lumpang, Ernawati, stated that this was the fourth time the school had been burgled. She suspects more than one person was involved. “I don’t know exactly how many perpetrators, but certainly more than one, because the items taken were quite heavy. We don’t know who did it because the CCTV camera was also stolen,” Ernawati said. She listed the missing items as a CCTV camera, a projector, two laptops, two computers, and a printer, expressing hope that the perpetrators would be caught.
