Bogor Police personnel jointly donate Qur'ans to mark Nuzulul Qur'an

Bogor Regency, West Java (ANTARA) - Polres Bogor personnel, West Java, simultaneously waqaf Qur’ans at the Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration for the Bogor Regency level, held at Masjid Baitul Faizin, Cibinong, Bogor Regency, on Saturday night.

During the event, conducted in parallel with the Tabligh Akbar ‘Penyejuk Hati’, the Bogor Police handed over 2,000 Qur’ans, the waqaf endowment from all personnel of the Bogor Police and the jajar an polsek (the ranks of Bogor Police and the district police stations).

Kapolres Bogor AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto said the Qur’anic waqaf reflects the officers’ love for the Qur’an and their concern for the community during the holy month of Ramadhan.

“Alhamdulillah, tonight we, from the Bogor Resort Police, are able to hand over 2,000 Qur’ans from the waqaf of all members. This is a tangible manifestation of our love for the Qur’an and our concern for the umat during the holy month of Ramadhan,” he said. “May these Qur’ans continue to be read and acted upon, becoming an amal jariah for all personnel,” he added.

The Qur’ans were handed over symbolically to two community representatives, Yahya and Muhamad Yusuf, during the tabligh akbar attended by hundreds of worshippers.

The event was hosted by Irfan Hakim and enlivened with the singing of selawat by the Hadroh Nurul Musthofa Group, which added to the religious atmosphere at Masjid Baitul Faizin.

The Kapolres also noted that the activity serves as a momentum to strengthen synergy between ulama, umara, and masyarakat in maintaining security and public order in Bogor Regency.

“We hope the synergy between ulama, umara, and masyarakat in Bogor Regency will continue to be strong, creating a kamtibmas that is cool and peaceful,” said Wikha.
