The Bogor Resort Police invited 80 orphans to shop for school supplies at Cibinong City Mall (CCM) in Bogor Regency, West Java, in celebration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day and the upcoming 2026 academic year. Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto stated on Friday that the activity, held on Thursday (18/6), was designed to bring happiness and support to orphaned children, encouraging them to embrace the new school term with greater enthusiasm. “The Bhayangkara Day celebration should not only be felt internally by the police force but must also bring benefits and joy to the community, especially children who need attention and support,” he said. A total of 80 orphans were transported from Bogor Police Headquarters to CCM using two police trucks and one police bus. The number of participants was chosen to match the 80 years of service of the Indonesian National Police. According to Wikha, the school supplies assistance is expected to ease the children’s educational needs while motivating them to continue learning and pursue their dreams. After shopping, the orphans were also taken to watch a film together at the cinema. The activity was part of the Bogor Police’s efforts to provide an enjoyable experience and strengthen the bond between police personnel and the community. A warm and friendly atmosphere was evident throughout the event. The children appeared enthusiastic interacting with the accompanying police officers, who also enjoyed the moments of togetherness. Wikha expressed hope that the humanistic social activity would leave a positive impression on the orphans and reinforce the spirit of social care during the momentum of the 80th Bhayangkara Day in 2026.
