Bogor Police Hand Over Vehicle to Elderly Couple Robbery Victims in Cileungsi
An elderly couple became victims of a violent robbery in Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java. Police successfully apprehended a gang of robbers and returned stolen goods to the victims.
The return of items took place at the Bogor Police Headquarters to the elderly couple named Samah (66) and Hamim (69). Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto directly handed over the evidence in the form of a Toyota Avanza vehicle and two goats to the victims.
“We are handing over evidence in the form of a vehicle that has been successfully secured to the victims,” said Wikha at Bogor Police Headquarters on Monday (16 March 2026).
For information, the Bogor Police successfully arrested three of six perpetrators. Wikha stated that his team would pursue the three remaining perpetrators who are still at large.
“I ask for prayers so that the three other perpetrators can be quickly apprehended and secured, and other evidence in the form of one unit motorcycle can also be quickly recovered,” he said.
Perpetrators Beat Victims
In their actions, the perpetrators tied the hands and feet and gagged the eyes of Samah and Hamim. Both victims were discovered by their relatives on the night of the incident, with their heads covered by a sack.
“Both victims were found by their brother at 2 am on the same night, with their eyes tied with tape and their faces covered with a sack. Their brother then reported the incident to Cileungsi Police Station the following morning,” said Wikha.
The perpetrators also beat elderly Samah in the eye and ear area, causing hearing damage. This occurred because elderly Samah was considered to have resisted.
“For Mrs Samah as the victim, because she resisted, she experienced violence in the form of being beaten until both eyes were bruised when discovered. Then her mouth and ears were bleeding, and for some time recently Mrs Samah has experienced hearing loss, which is now in better condition,” said Wikha.
