Bogor Police Hand Over 2,000 Qur'ans to Mark Nuzulul Quran
Polres Bogor handed over 2,000 Qur’ans as wakaf at Masjid Baitul Faizin, in the Cibinong district, to commemorate Nuzulul Quran. ‘Alhamdulillah, tonight we from the Bogor Police force can hand over 2,000 Qur’ans donated by all members. This is a tangible manifestation of our love for the Qur’an and a form of care for the community in the holy month of Ramadan,’ said Bogor Police Chief, AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto, on Saturday (7 February 2026). The thousands of Qur’ans came from the collective contributions of police personnel at Polres Bogor and its ranks. The handover was made to a representative of the community. ‘May these copies continue to be read and practised, so that they become a charity of merit (amal jariyah) for all personnel,’ he added. The handover was also carried out amidst a grand tabligh gathering. Several religious leaders attended the event. ‘We are very grateful to participate and share in the midst of this extraordinary gathering of knowledge,’ he said. It is hoped that synergy between religious leaders and the community can continue to be strengthened, so that public security and order can run smoothly. ‘Our hope is that synergy between ulama, umara, and the people of Bogor Regency can continue to be strong, creating a calm and peaceful kamtibmas situation,’ he concluded.
