Bogor Regency — The Bogor Police Department is deploying over 5,000 combined personnel to secure the Eid homecoming and return traffic flow in 2026 through the implementation of Operation Ketupat Lodaya, which runs from 13–25 March 2026.

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto stated that the security operation involves personnel from the National Police (Polri), the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), various related agencies, and community elements to ensure the smoothness and safety of public travel during the Eid period.

“This year, Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026 is being conducted from 13 March through 25 March 2026,” said Wikha during a force briefing at Pakansari Stadium in Cibinong, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Thursday.

He explained that the total personnel deployed exceeds 5,000 individuals, comprising 1,099 Bogor Police personnel and more than 4,000 personnel from related agencies including the Transportation Service, Civil Police Unit, Military District Command (Kodim), Military Sub-Command (Subdenpom), and community representatives.

According to Wikha, security operations are reinforced by establishing multiple checkpoints at various strategic locations throughout Bogor Regency. Fourteen security posts have been distributed to monitor and regulate traffic flow during the homecoming and return period.

Additionally, the Bogor Police have prepared a service post at Gunung Mas Rest Area in the Puncak region. This post provides various police services to the public, including information assistance and rest facilities for travellers.

Meanwhile, an integrated post has been established at Hoegeng Gadog checkpoint, which is one of the main traffic surveillance points on the Puncak route. The post has been designed with a thematic concept to provide more comfortable services to the public.

The Gadog integrated post facility also includes supporting infrastructure, such as a Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) provided through cooperation with third parties.

Additionally, a mosque is available for travellers to use for prayer and rest before continuing their journey to their respective destinations.

During the same occasion, Bogor Police Chief Wikha, along with Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto and local leadership forum (Forkopimda) officials, also inspected Pakansari Stadium, which is planned as the venue for the communal Eid prayer organised by the local government and Bogor Regency residents.

Wikha viewed the use of Pakansari Stadium as an Eid prayer venue as an exemplary model of utilising public facilities for large-scale religious activities by the community.
