Bogor Police Conduct Security Patrols Ahead of Ramadan, Seize Motorcycles with Non-Standard Exhausts

The Bogor District Police have conducted patrols at several vulnerable points within their jurisdiction as part of efforts to maintain security ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.

“The Samapta Unit of the Bogor District Police has carried out KRYD operations to anticipate public order disturbances ahead of the holy month of Ramadan 2026,” said Head of the Samapta Unit, AKP Yogi Nugraha, on Monday (16 February 2026).

Yogi stated that the patrols were conducted on Sunday evening (15 February). As a result, four motorcycles fitted with non-standard exhausts were seized by officers.

“Officers successfully secured four two-wheeled vehicles using illegal ‘brong’ exhausts in the vicinity of Jalan Raya Alternatif Sentul,” he said.

A platoon of 30 joint personnel was deployed for the patrol operation. The seized vehicles were subsequently taken to the police station.

“The vehicles have been brought to headquarters (Bogor District Police) and the owners will need to replace them with standard exhausts,” he explained.

Such patrols will be further intensified going forward, particularly to ensure a safe and secure atmosphere throughout Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

“That is correct (patrols will be intensified), including late-night patrols from midnight to 04:00 Western Indonesian Time,” he concluded.
