Bogor Police Chief Inspects Puncak Route to Ensure Readiness for Eid Holiday Travel
The Bogor Police conducted an inspection along Puncak Road in preparation for the 2026 Eid holiday travel surge. The inspection was carried out to ensure the readiness of infrastructure security in the Puncak area of Bogor, which serves as an alternative route for holiday travellers.
“This field inspection was conducted to ensure the readiness of security infrastructure ahead of the Eid holiday exodus and return in 2026,” said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto on Monday (9 March 2026).
Several infrastructure facilities were checked, including integrated posts, service stations, and various service posts distributed along the Puncak route. This inspection also serves as preparation for the 2026 Ketupat Lodaya Operation.
“One important point in this inspection is the optimisation of the Gunung Mas rest area as a transit point for drivers if one-way traffic engineering is implemented,” he explained.
This measure is intended to prevent vehicle congestion on road shoulders during traffic engineering operations. Additionally, the optimisation of the rest area could boost the micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) sector.
“By designating this location as a primary transit point, it is hoped that economic circulation for local traders will increase significantly during the Eid holiday period,” he added.
The Ketupat Lodaya 2026 Operation will be conducted simultaneously from 13-25 March 2026. The operation aims to enhance security, safety, order and traffic flow.
“Bogor Police are ready to provide maximum service. We urge the public who will pass through the Puncak route to always follow the instructions of officers in the field and ensure their vehicles are in good condition before travelling,” he concluded.
