Bogor Regency — The Bogor Police Department is accelerating the construction of 13 ASRI homes across several areas of Bogor Regency to enable beneficiary residents to occupy decent housing and celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijrah more comfortably.

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto conducted a direct inspection of construction progress at three locations: Bojong Murni Village, Ciawi District; Pabuaran Village, Kemang District; and Sukahati Village, Citeureup District, on Saturday.

The inspection aims to ensure the programme proceeds according to schedule while overseeing the implementation of the ASRI Home innovation initiative, which was introduced by the West Java Regional Police Chief as part of support for the national programme to improve the quality of people’s housing.

“We are here to directly oversee the ASRI Home Programme so that its benefits are truly felt by the community,” he said during the inspection.

He explained that the programme focuses not only on physical building improvements but also ensures that constructed homes meet standards for healthy, safe housing with appropriate spatial layouts for beneficiary families.

According to him, the acceleration of construction coincides with the momentum of Ramadhan, so it is hoped that residents can celebrate Eid al-Fitr in a better and more dignified home.

During the visit, the Police Chief, together with the head of Bhayangkari Branch Bogor, took the opportunity to greet and provide aid to several beneficiaries, including residents in Kemang and Citeureup.

This humanistic approach, he continued, is part of the directive to ensure that police activities are not only oriented towards structural duties but also present empathy and social care to the community.

The Bogor Police Department currently targets the completion of all 13 ASRI home construction units according to schedule so that beneficiary families can move into their new homes before Eid celebrations.

The ASRI Home Programme is expected to become a form of synergy between government policy and innovation at the regional level in helping communities obtain more adequate housing, particularly for residents who previously lived in substandard homes.
