Bogor People's School with Mountain Panorama Nears Completion, Targeted to Open for 2026/2027 Academic Year

The construction of a People’s School in Bogor Regency is entering its final phase ahead of the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Located in Sipak Village, Jasinga District, West Java, the school is built in a hilly area and not only offers a cool learning atmosphere with mountain panoramas but is also designed as an integrated educational zone combining academic facilities, dormitories, open spaces, and sports amenities in one area. The People’s School represents a government effort to broaden educational access for the community. Besides providing a comfortable learning environment, the project is also expected to spur development in the surrounding area through infrastructure construction and increased local economic activity. Standing on approximately 6.96 hectares of land at an altitude of around 161 metres above sea level, the educational complex is designed to accommodate roughly 1,080 students from primary school, junior high school, to senior high school levels. All facilities are built within one zone so that learning, residential, and character development activities can run in an integrated manner. In addition to classrooms for each educational level, there are also male and female dormitories, teacher dormitories, a multipurpose hall, places of worship, a canteen, sports fields, green open spaces, and various other supporting facilities. Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo stated that the construction of the People’s School is part of the government’s commitment to improving human resource quality through equitable access to education. ‘The construction of this People’s School is a tangible form of the government’s commitment to building superior human resources. The Ministry of Public Works wants to ensure this educational facility is built quickly and with quality so it can be immediately utilised by the community and support equitable access to education,’ Dody said. According to him, building proper educational facilities is a long-term investment in producing a generation with future competitiveness. Behind the project’s rapid progress, the construction of the Bogor People’s School has not been without obstacles. The location, which was previously a forest area with hilly land contours, meant the construction process required a longer preparation phase compared to building on flat land.
