Bogor People's School Targeted to Operate in New Academic Year
PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) is targeting the completion of the Sekolah Rakyat in Sipak Village, Jasinga District, Bogor Regency, West Java, by July 2026. The school, built under an assignment from the Ministry of Public Works, is projected to begin operations in the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Brantas Abipraya Corporate Secretary Dian Sovana stated that as of 28 June 2026, physical construction progress had reached 81.42 percent and is now entering the final completion stage. According to Dian, Brantas Abipraya continues to accelerate the project’s completion while prioritising construction quality, occupational safety, and timeliness. The company has also managed to keep construction progress on target despite facing quite complex geographical conditions. The project site is located in a forest area with hilly land contours and fairly extreme slope gradients. Before construction began, the project team carried out land preparation work using the cut and fill method for approximately two months. Additionally, high rainfall intensity and limited access to the site posed challenges for material mobilisation and construction execution. To overcome these, Brantas Abipraya implemented meticulous construction planning, strengthened on-site coordination, and consistently maintained safety and quality standards. Current work is focused on the building completion stage and strengthening the retaining wall to ensure the safety of the area situated in the hills. The Sekolah Rakyat is being built on a 6.96-hectare plot at an altitude of approximately 161 metres above sea level. The educational facility is designed to accommodate up to 1,080 students at the primary, junior high, and senior high school levels. The school complex is equipped with various supporting facilities, including classroom buildings for each education level, male and female dormitories, teacher dormitories, a multipurpose hall, a place of worship, a canteen, sports fields, green open spaces, and other supporting facilities. Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo stated that the construction of Sekolah Rakyat represents the government’s commitment to expanding access to quality education while supporting human resource development.
