Bogor-Manggarai KRL Passengers Abruptly Transferred to Another Train at Depok Station
Passengers on the Bogor-Manggarai electric commuter rail (KRL) route were abruptly transferred to another train, with the switch taking place at Depok Station.
According to detikcom’s observations on Friday (20 February 2026), a 10-carriage KRL stopped at Depok Station at 09:09 local time. An announcement then informed passengers that the train would not be continuing its journey.
The announcement was made suddenly, moments after the KRL came to a halt at Depok Station. Passengers began alighting from the train one by one.
“All passengers are requested to disembark; the train doors will be closing shortly,” the in-carriage announcement stated.
The announcement prompted all passengers to move quickly to exit the KRL. An on-board security officer (PKD) said there were no issues with the train itself.
“It’s heading back to the depot — there’s no problem,” the security officer said.
Passengers were then directed to board another train to continue their journey to Manggarai. The replacement train resumed the journey from Depok Station at approximately 09:21 local time.
No further explanation was given regarding the Bogor-Manggarai KRL transfer at Depok Station. However, one KRL user reported via KCI’s X account @CommuterLine that the train they were on had to wait for 10 minutes before entering Manggarai Station.
KCI stated that the train delay was a consequence of a platform track change for entry and exit at Manggarai Station.
“After conducting our checks on train KA 1005 (Bogor-Manggarai), there was a time discrepancy from the scheduled arrival at Tebet Station, owing to the impact of the entry/exit track change at Manggarai Station,” KCI said via its X account @CommuterLine.
