Police arrested a man with the initials BEM (51) in Parung sub-district, Bogor, West Java, for distributing Tramadol. BEM’s modus operandi was to pretend to be selling bread door-to-door.

“Parung Police Station successfully uncovered a case of misuse and distribution of Schedule G controlled drugs without permission, namely Tramadol and Hexymer. In the operation, officers managed to apprehend a man suspected of distributing controlled drugs without a licence,” said Parung Police Chief, Commissioner Maman Firmansyah, on Thursday (16/4/2026).

The arrest took place in the early hours around 00:45 WIB. The case was uncovered during a police patrol.

“From the search, officers found evidence consisting of 732 pills,” he said.

The evidence included 411 Tramadol pills, 321 Hexymer pills, Rp 748,000 in cash, one waist bag, and one mobile phone. Police are currently pursuing the Tramadol supplier to the suspect.

“Based on initial interrogation, the perpetrator admitted to obtaining the drugs from an individual with the initials T, who is still being sought,” he added.

The suspect admitted he intended to redistribute the Tramadol. His method involved selling bread door-to-door using a cart.

“The drugs were planned to be redistributed to traders in Parung Market under the guise of selling bread door-to-door using a cart,” he explained.

“Subsequently, for further investigation, Parung Police Station has coordinated and handed over the case handling to the Bogor Police Narcotics Detective Unit,” he concluded.
