Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) President Director Bobby Rasyidin stated that platform development for lines 6, 7, and 8 at Bogor Station is being accelerated to support the operation of 12-car commuter trains with higher capacity. β€œThe platform extensions are being carried out to support the operation of 12-car Commuter Line trains (SF12), which have greater carrying capacity,” Bobby said during a review of the platform development works for lines 6, 7, and 8 at Bogor Station in West Java on Monday.

KAI together with the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) under the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation is continuing to prepare service capacity upgrades through Bogor Station development and strengthening connectivity at Bogor Paledang Station. As per the official statement received in Jakarta, Bobby said the accelerated work is a crucial step to meet the growing public demand for Commuter Line services. He added that the acceleration is positive news as service capacity can be quickly enhanced to address the growing mobility needs of Bogor Line commuters.

The platform development for lines 6, 7, and 8 commenced on 15 April 2026 and is targeted for completion in July 2026. Vice President of Corporate Communications at KAI, Anne Purba, added that passenger growth on the Bogor Line has shown a steadily increasing trend in recent years.
