Bogor Line KRL Services to Return to Normal Tomorrow Following Maintenance
KAI Commuter Indonesia (KCI) has announced that KRL services on the Bogor Line will return to normal operations starting tomorrow. KCI stated that the maintenance of train sets, which had previously led to a reduction in services, has now been completed.
“With the operation of train sets that have completed maintenance, starting tomorrow, Monday, 2pend 21 September 2026, the Bogor Line Commuter Line trips will be increased by 4 journeys. This brings the total number of trips across all lines back to normal at 1,065, up from the 1,061 trips that had been in place since 10 September,” explained KCI VP Corporate Secretary Karina Amanda in a statement on Sunday (20/9/2026).
KCI hopes that the addition of these 4 journeys will allow passengers to move more freely. KCI highlighted that Monday is typically the day with the highest KRL usage volume.
“With the reinstatement of 4 Bogor Line Commuter Line journeys, it is expected to provide passengers with more flexibility in adjusting their travel, especially at the start of the week which is the peak volume period,” she said.
KCI added that this increase is intended to support the demand and capacity requirements for the public who rely on the Bogor Line for their daily mobility. Consequently, starting tomorrow, the total number of trips on the Bogor Line will return to 392 journeys.
Furthermore, Karina explained that KAI Commuter is still implementing rolling stock circulation engineering, particularly on the Tanjung Priok line. The operation of these commuter line sets has not yet replaced the services on the Tanjung Priok line that currently utilise the Soekarno-Hatta Airport commuter line sets.
“Services for the Soeketta Airport commuter line are also still undergoing adjustments, currently providing a temporary service of 52 trips per day,” she revealed.
At the same time, the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications and Representative Office of PT INKA, Nanang Agung Rohmandiyas, stated that the process for the remaining six train sets will be carried out gradually.
“One train set has completed all stages of the general check-up and has been returned to KAI Commuter for service. The next two train sets are targeted for completion in the fourth week of September, the following two by late September or early October, and the final two by the end of the first week of October,” said Nanang.
The general check-up is being conducted alongside KAI Commuter, KAI, and relevant stakeholders, involving engineering and quality assurance teams from INKA. The inspection process is taking place at two overhaul facilities, namely Depok and Manggarai.
“We apologise to all commuter line users for the inconvenience caused during this process. We will continue to coordinate with all relevant parties to complete all inspection stages while maintaining the highest standards of safety and equipment reliability,” he concluded.
