Police have questioned and detained an employer identified by the initials OAP (37) on suspicion of assaulting a domestic worker identified as FH (21) in Gunung Putri, Bogor, West Java. The suspect claimed she assaulted the victim because FH failed to respond when her child fell.

“Based on the suspect’s statement, it was because at that time her child fell, and the victim, who served as the childminder, did not respond. As a result, the suspect became angry and committed the act of violence,” said Head of the Women and Children Protection Unit at Bogor Police, Inspector Silfi Adi Putri, on Monday (23/2/2026).

A medical examination has been conducted on the victim. The results showed that the injuries sustained by the victim were consistent with the testimony previously obtained from her.

“The medical examination results indeed show injuries to the head, ears, back, and hands, consistent with the victim’s testimony,” she explained.

Police have confirmed that OAP has been detained for assaulting FH in Gunung Putri, Bogor. The detention was carried out following the completion of questioning.

“Today the suspect has been questioned at the Women and Children Protection Criminal Investigation Unit of Bogor Police, and subsequently we will proceed with detaining the individual,” said Silfi.

Based on the results of the questioning, the suspect provided testimony consistent with what she had stated when her status was still that of a reported person. In the initial phase, the suspect will be held in detention for the next 20 days.

“The questioning has been completed, and the testimony was more or less the same as when she was questioned as a reported person,” she explained.
