Bogor DPRD Oversees New Batutulis Road Construction, Targets October 2026 Completion
Bogor City DPRD Deputy Chairman Dadang Iskandar Danubrata accompanied West Java Provincial DPRD Deputy Chairman Ono Surono to inspect the progress of the new Batutulis route construction in South Bogor District, Bogor City, on Sunday, 19 July 2026. The inspection was part of the 2026 Fiscal Year Government Administration Oversight agenda.
Ono Surono explained that the Batutulis route construction is the result of collaboration between the West Java Provincial Government and the Bogor City Government. Together with Dadang, he intended to ensure the construction is proceeding according to target while also directly observing the project’s condition following the landslide that occurred in 2025.
“So, this visit is to the Batutulis road construction, which experienced a landslide in 2025. Alhamdulillah, today progress has been made on the construction. The construction is financed by the West Java Provincial Budget, while the land acquisition is handled by the Bogor City Government,” said Ono.
The physical construction is financed through the West Java Provincial Budget, while land acquisition is carried out by the Bogor City Government. Based on a report from the Bogor City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency, the current construction progress has reached approximately 22 percent.
In addition to the road construction, the project also includes drainage development, area arrangement, parks, and the Leuweung Batutulis forest as a disaster mitigation effort.
“Hopefully by October it will be completed, and not just the road, but also the drainage, as well as the construction of parks and Leuweung Batutulis. So it will be reforested to prevent landslides,” said Ono Surono.
Ono expressed hope that all work can be completed according to the target in October 2026. With that, the new Batutulis route can once again serve community mobility while strengthening protection of the area from potential landslides.
Meanwhile, Dadang Iskandar Danubrata said he would continue to oversee the project’s implementation to ensure it proceeds according to plan, both in terms of quality and timeliness of completion.
“We will continue to oversee this construction process so that it proceeds according to plan. The hope is that the project can be completed on time in October 2026 so that the community can once again enjoy safe, comfortable road access, supported by pedestrian facilities and better area arrangement,” said Dadang.
He also emphasised that the project implementer should pay attention to occupational health and safety aspects to ensure safety and security during the work. Previously, there were still many soil material spills from the project site that were considered disruptive to road users.
On the same occasion, PT Promix Prima Karya’s Person in Charge, Hariyono, confirmed that the contractor has implemented occupational health and safety standards. This includes maintaining road cleanliness from project materials that could potentially disrupt road users.
“We have anticipated this. The tyres of soil transport vehicles are cleaned before leaving the project area. We also have a team that always cleans up any soil spilled on the road. The point is that project materials must not disturb road users,” said Hariyono.
The construction of the new Batutulis route is expected to restore connectivity in the South Bogor area, improve road user safety, and strengthen traffic access towards Cipaku, Pamoyanan, and serve as an alternative route towards Ciawi.
In addition, the area arrangement through drainage development, green open spaces, and Leuweung Batutulis is expected to reduce the risk of landslides in the future.
Also present at the activity were Bogor City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency Head Juniarti Estiningsih, Batutulis Village Head Erika, and South Bogor Sub-district Head Harry Cahyadi.
