Bogor DPRD Holds Special Plenary Session in Village Using School Desks and Benches
Bogor Regency (ANTARA) – The Bogor Regency DPRD is scheduled to hold a special plenary session to commemorate the 544th Bogor Anniversary in Kampung Citalahab, Malasari Village, Nanggung District. ‘The session will be conducted simply, using primary school desks and benches,’ said Irwan Purnawan, Secretary of the Bogor Regency DPRD, in Cibinong, on Thursday. He added that this year’s plenary session will be different from usual as it forms part of a walk down memory of the Bogor Regency’s administration in Malasari. ‘The plenary is unlike others, because it is monumental. The Regent wants everything centred there to remember the old Regent’s Office that was in Malasari,’ he said. He noted that the plenary session will be concentrated in the Citalahab area, not far from the site of the HJB 544 ceremony. ‘So, it’s a napak tilas. It will be centralised there, with the ceremony also serving as the plenary in Kampung Citalahab,’ he added. He said facilities for the plenary session would be modest, with desks and primary-school benches for councillors, but the event would remain solemn. ‘It will still be conducted reverently, only in harmony with nature. So, desks for the councillors will be prepared, primary-school benches, simple but still solemn,’ Irwan said. Earlier, the Bogor Regency Government confirmed that the 544th HJB celebration would be centred in Malasari Village, Nanggung District, as part of efforts to promote equitable development even in remote areas. ‘It’s fixed in Malasari on 3 June 2026,’ Ajat said. He noted that the main sequence of HJB would still include the ceremony and the Bogor Regency DPRD plenary session, but its execution would be adapted to the field conditions in the Citalahab area. ‘The concept will be as natural as possible, blending with the community. So, not extravagant,’ he added. Ajat also stated that Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto wants the HJB celebration to deliver a direct economic impact for local residents through involvement of homestays and residents’ homes during the event.
