Bogor DPRD Chief Urges Newly Appointed Officials to Enhance Public Services

Bogor City DPRD Chairman Adityawarman Adil attended the inauguration of high-ranking pratama officials, functional officials, and school principals within the Bogor City Government on Tuesday, 30 June 2026. On this occasion, he congratulated the newly appointed officials and urged them to continuously improve the quality of service to the people of Bogor. In this round of appointments, several key strategic positions were definitively filled. These include Rudi Mashudi, who was inaugurated as the Head of the Bogor City Environmental Agency (DLH), and Pupung, who now officially serves as the Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP). Rudiyana was also appointed as an Expert Staff to the Mayor, along with hundreds of functional officials and school principals. Adityawarman expressed hope that the inauguration would serve as a moment of organisational refreshment within the city’s structural ranks, positively impacting public services and ensuring smooth operations on the ground. At the same event, Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim stressed that the two main positions, the Head of the Environmental Agency and the Head of Satpol PP, carry significant challenges. He placed high expectations on the new agency heads to fulfil the public’s long-standing hopes. Dedie explained that the public has high expectations for the new Satpol PP Head regarding the enforcement of public order and the regulation of street vendors. The main focus of this regulation targets the Alun-Alun area, Sempur Field, Taman Heulang, and other important areas in Bogor. Regarding the environmental sector, Dedie instructed Rudi Mashudi to continue the waste management foundation previously pioneered by Deni Wismanto, particularly overseeing the Waste-to-Energy Processing (PSEL) project. The Bogor City Government is scheduled to hold the groundbreaking ceremony for the PSEL project on 8 July 2026, with the physical construction process projected to take an intensive 1.5 years. However, Dedie reminded that the success of the PSEL project depends not only on physical and technological readiness but also on human resources. The Environmental Agency is required to educate the public on cultivating waste sorting from the source using the 3R principles directly from households. Regarding other structural positions that remain vacant, the Bogor City Government confirmed that the competency test process is underway and is expected to take one to two weeks before subsequent inaugurations are held.
