Bogor DPRD Chief Calls for Stronger Green Collaboration Through Tree Planting

The Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil, attended a tree-planting activity to commemorate World Environment Day 2026, organised with the Komunitas Pemuda Peduli (KPP) Bogor Raya at the Kayumanis Public Cemetery in Tanah Sareal District, Bogor City. Adityawarman stated that the activity represents a shared commitment to realising Bogor’s vision as a creative and sustainable city through concrete environmental conservation actions. He noted that the DPRD had previously received an award from the Ministry of Environment for its commitment to environmental issues, demonstrated through the ratification of regulations including the Regional Regulation on Green Open Spaces (RTH) and the Regional Regulation on Organic Farming. According to Adityawarman, environmental preservation cannot be undertaken by a single party alone, necessitating collaboration between the Bogor City Government, the DPRD, communities, and the public to expand tangible actions such as tree planting to maintain environmental sustainability. Echoing this sentiment, Bogor Deputy Mayor Jenal Mutaqin expressed appreciation for the involvement of all parties and stressed the importance of expanding green open spaces and intensifying tree planting, particularly in landslide-prone areas, as part of efforts to maintain environmental balance. Meanwhile, KPP Bogor Raya Chairman Beni Sitepu explained that the tree-planting activity in Kayumanis is part of the community’s annual agenda to support the city’s environmental programmes. He expressed hope that the World Environment Day 2026 commemoration would raise awareness and participation among the younger generation to continue greening Bogor amidst the challenges of environmental change and rising urban temperatures.
