Bogor Deputy Council Speaker Welcomes Return of Hajj Pilgrims from Group 27

Wakil Ketua II DPRD Kota Bogor, Zenal Abidin, welcomed the return of 328 Hajj pilgrims from Group 27, originating from Bogor City, for the 1447 H/2026 M season at the Bogor City Hall Plaza on Tuesday evening, 30 June 2026. Representing all elements of the DPRD leadership and members as well as the people of Bogor City, Zenal Abidin expressed his happiness at the pilgrims’ return to their homeland in good health. “On behalf of the people of Bogor City, we express our gratitude and happiness for your return in a state of health and well-being. May all the Hajj rituals you have performed be accepted by Allah SWT and may you achieve a mabrur Hajj,” said Zenal Abidin. The Gerindra Party politician also congratulated the pilgrims on reuniting with their families after being apart for approximately 40 days to perform worship in Saudi Arabia. He expressed hope that, upon returning from the Hajj pilgrimage, they would bring positive impacts and wider blessings to their respective neighbourhoods. “Welcome back to the homeland, congratulations on reuniting with your beloved families. May you bring blessings to your environment and the community,” said Zenal. On that occasion, Zenal also highlighted the group’s return number. He noted that the number 27 holds a beautiful coincidence, as it corresponds with a verse in the Holy Quran, specifically Surah Al-Hajj verse 27, which recounts Allah SWT’s call to mankind to perform the Hajj pilgrimage from all corners of the world, whether on foot or by riding vehicles.
