Bogor City Government Restricts Street Vendors in Heulang Park, Only Food Vendors Allowed to Trade
The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) will provide a special stall area for food street vendors (PKL) in the Heulang Park area, Tanah Sareal. This arrangement does not allow space for non-food vendors such as clothing sellers, and is carried out in response to complaints from nearby residents regarding PKL activities. Bogor Mayor Dedie A Rachim emphasised that the food PKL location will only be placed on Jalan Kasintu, not around the Heulang Park area. According to Dedie, the location determination is the result of aspirations from residents around Jalan Heulang who felt disturbed by PKL activities that were previously scattered in the area. These aspirations were then discussed with Pemkot Bogor to find a solution for the arrangement. “So, based on the aspirations of the community around Jalan Heulang, who have been disturbed by PKL activities, they then discussed with Pemkot Bogor,” he said. “Finally, we decided with Pemkot Bogor and the residents together with friends from the area to create a food spot called the Kasintu Culinary Festival in Heulang Park,” he added. Dedie explained that around 100 food PKL will be accommodated on Jalan Kasintu, Heulang Park. The realisation of this arrangement is targeted to start operating in 2026. Pemkot Bogor has also set several requirements for PKL who want to trade in the location. Among them, the vendors must be Bogor City residents and have identification as micro, small, and medium enterprise (UMKM) actors from the Department of Cooperatives, Small, Medium Enterprises, Trade, and Industry (Dinkukmdagin). Furthermore, Dinkukmdagin of Bogor City will regulate the placement and operations of food PKL as part of the Heulang Park area arrangement. “We will prepare the parking spots on Jalan Manyar and behind SMKN 1. So those who come here are orderly, the traders are orderly,” he said.
