Bogor City Government Provides Legal Assistance to 14 Satpol PP Members Whose Appointment Letters Were Allegedly Pawned by Superior
Bogor City Government (Pemkot Bogor) is providing legal assistance to 14 members of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) who became victims of an alleged pawning of their Appointment Decrees (SK) by their superior. The case involves an alleged Civil Servant (ASN) with initials IJ, who holds the position of Head of the Finance Sub-Section at the Bogor City Satpol PP. IJ is suspected of using a method of enticing his subordinates with reasons related to office needs, while promising that the repayment process would not take long. The victims whose SKs were pawned then reported the incident to the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of Bogor City. The Head of the Legal and Human Rights Section of Bogor City, Alma Wiranta, stated that the City Government has prepared legal assistance for the victims. In fact, one victim could be accompanied by more than one lawyer. “One person might have more than one, possibly four to five, depending on the Head of the Legal Aid Institute (LBH). There seem to be many lawyers helping,” Alma explained when contacted by Kompas.com on Thursday (23/4/2026). He mentioned that the total losses in this case are estimated to reach Rp 1.3 billion. “That’s the estimate, up to Rp 1.3 billion. So for 14 people, it’s Rp 1.3 billion,” he added. Alma emphasised that all legal assistance is provided free of charge by Pemkot Bogor. He also explained that efforts to resolve the dispute will be pursued through Bale Badami as a non-litigious route. “So there’s a discussion for agreement, called in a family-like manner, discussing how to resolve it. That’s the step being pursued,” he said.
