Bogor City Government Provides Aid to 2,000 Orphans on 1 Muharram 1448 H

Bogor (ANTARA) - The Bogor City Government, West Java, provided aid to 2,000 orphans during the Islamic New Year 1 Muharram 1448 H commemoration at the Grand Mosque of Bogor on Monday. Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim stated that the city government invited 2,000 orphans to receive aid as a form of social concern and an effort to strengthen the spirit of togetherness during the Islamic New Year. He expressed hope that the spirit of mutual cooperation and togetherness, which has been well maintained, will continue to be a force in realising a religious, progressive, and prosperous Bogor City. “Through this momentum, it is hoped we can realise a religious, progressive, and prosperous Bogor City, as well as maintain unity and the spirit of mutual cooperation,” he said. He conveyed that the values of hijrah should serve as a reminder for all members of society to continuously improve their quality, both spiritually and socially. “The Islamic New Year commemoration is a momentum to emulate the hijrah of Prophet Muhammad SAW, which teaches the spirit of struggle, sacrifice, and change towards a better life. The meaning of hijrah is not merely a physical relocation, but rather a transformation into a better person who is more beneficial to others,” said Dedie. On the same occasion, the Commander of Military Region III/Siliwangi, Major General TNI Kosasih, in his sermon invited the community to make the turn of the Islamic New Year a momentum to enhance the quality of faith and social awareness. He also urged the public to continue safeguarding national unity and integrity amidst various challenges currently faced. “With the turn of this year, I invite everyone to strengthen national unity and integrity,” said Kosasih.
