The Seribu Kata Positif (A Thousand Positive Words) or Serbukatif programme continues to be instilled in students in Bogor City, West Java, as an effort to build positive character and create a safe and comfortable school environment for children.

Chairwoman of the Bogor City PKK (Family Welfare Movement) and founder of Serbukatif, Yantie Rachim, stated on Friday that the use of positive words in daily life can shape a child’s character while preventing bullying behaviour in the school environment.

The Serbukatif programme is carried out through roadshows, one of which was attended directly by Yantie at SDN Cipaku Perumda, Bogor City, on Thursday (18/6).

“This Serbukatif programme is still ongoing. Although the roadshows may not be as frequent as before, the programme continues to be run by the Serbukatif team,” Yantie said.

According to Yantie, the students’ enthusiasm for the programme shows that the habit of speaking positively is beginning to grow within their school environment and social circles.

“Alhamdulillah, I see that the children remain enthusiastic and they are implementing the Serbukatif programme very well in their environment. The programme is running as we hoped,” she said.

She believes that a school environment filled with positive speech will create a safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable learning atmosphere for all students.

“The hope is that children must continue to speak positively so that there is no bullying or other negative behaviour. That is indeed the vision and mission of Serbukatif,” she said.

Yantie mentioned that the Bogor City Government, together with the TP PKK of Bogor City, continues to encourage the creation of a positive communication culture among students as part of the effort to build child-friendly schools and strengthen character education from an early age.
