Bogor City Government Bans Unloading and Loading of Vegetable Commodities at Bogor Market from 26 March

The Bogor City Government (Pemkot Bogor) has banned the unloading and loading, as well as operations involving vegetable commodities, at Bogor Market on Thursday (26/3/2026).

The Head of the Transportation Division of the Bogor City Transportation Agency (Dishub), Dody Wahyudin, stated that the prohibition on unloading and loading vegetable commodities is a measure to reorganise the Bogor Market area.

Subsequently, the vendors will be relocated to Pasar Gembrong in Sukasari and Pasar Jambu Dua in Tanah Sareal.

“Therefore, effective from 26 March 2026, we are prohibiting all transport of vegetable commodities from carrying out unloading, loading, or operations in the Suryakencana area of Bogor Market,” said Dody, when contacted by Kompas.com on Sunday (22/3/2026).

“This includes Gang Aut, Jalan Bata, Jalan Roda, and Jalan Lawang Seketeng. This is in the context of reorganising the Suryakencana area,” he added.

Furthermore, he explained that if any violators are found carrying out unloading and loading, they will face sanctions in the form of ticketing.

“Thus, the Bogor City Government and the Traffic Unit of the Bogor City Police Resort will take action in the form of ticketing,” he said.

Dody revealed that there are 60 personnel from the Bogor City Dishub to guard several points to ensure the reorganisation of Bogor Market.

He added that there are guarded entry points such as the Bogor Market area, Jalan Otista, Jalan Pahlawan, Gang Aut, and Empang.

“So, the officers are divided into several points. Approximately, in one day, there are 60 officers. They rotate shifts,” he explained.

He stated that these points are guarded by combined personnel from police, Satpol PP.

“One point is guarded by combined personnel from the police, from Satpol PP, from Dishub, from the flanking ranks. From the flanking ranks, there are from the Kodim,” he concluded.
