Bogor City Government Accelerates Five Strategic Projects in Kayumanis
Kayumanis is a rapidly developing area that plays an important role on a city scale.
Bogor City (ANTARA) - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) in West Java is accelerating the implementation of five strategic projects in Kayumanis Ward to promote the growth of the area and improve services for the community.
Bogor Mayor Dedie Rachim, at the City Hall on Tuesday, stated that the acceleration of this development is a priority because Kayumanis is a rapidly developing area that has an important role on a city scale.
“The field that we previously used for assemblies will be built into sports facilities. Next to it is SMAN 11, then the construction of a city-scale wastewater treatment plant (IPAL). In addition, what is currently receiving attention is the construction of a waste-to-energy power plant in Kayumanis. So, there are four development plans here,” said Dedie.
In addition to those four projects, Pemkot Bogor is also pursuing the utilisation of approximately 3 hectares of former asphalt factory land to be converted into a logistics warehouse for Bulog Bogor Raya.
According to Dedie, the presence of this warehouse will strengthen regional food security, particularly in maintaining the availability of rice supplies that have so far depended on supplies from outside the area.
“Imagine, there are five strategic activities in the Kayumanis area alone. If not anticipated now by Public Works (PU), Housing and Human Settlements (Perumkim), Transportation Agency (Dishub), Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) and the region, then in the end it could potentially cause problems,” he said.
He emphasised that all regional apparatus, together with elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimwil) and the community, need to synergise to support the smooth running of this development so that its benefits can be directly felt by residents.
“This Sareal land must advance together. Its progress must be felt by the residents. We deliberately prioritise development in the Kayumanis area,” he said.
Pemkot Bogor will also carry out comprehensive area planning, covering drainage improvements, traffic load regulation, pedestrian construction, and greenway arrangement.
Dedie stressed that the planning must not wait until all projects are completed, but should be carried out simultaneously so that changes in the area can be seen immediately.
“So that when entering here, changes are already visible. There is hope for the future. Do not wait until everything is finished before we fix the pavements, drainage, and waste management. Everything must be worked on simultaneously starting now,” he said.
He added that the implementation of a joint assembly in Kayumanis serves as the initial momentum to ensure the readiness of all regional apparatus organisations in overseeing these strategic projects.
“To all OPD leaders, prepare yourselves, because this is very strategic,” said Dedie.
