The Bogor Regency government in West Java has designated the area as a national pilot project for the development of village cooperative digitalisation through digital marketing training for managers of the Merah Putih Village/Urban Village Cooperatives.

The Head of the Communication and Informatics Department of Bogor Regency, Bambang Widodo Tawekal, in Cibinong on Tuesday, stated that the training held at the Bogor Regency Diskominfo Hall is the first to be implemented, even described as the inaugural programme at the West Java to national level.

According to him, this activity is a strategic step in strengthening the digital capacity of cooperative managers to compete in the technology era.

“This training is the first to be held in Bogor Regency for the managers of the Merah Putih Village/Urban Village Cooperatives. This is an important step in driving the digital transformation of cooperatives to be more adaptive,” he said.

He added that through the training, cooperative managers are being introduced to artificial intelligence (AI) technology to support more effective product marketing and reach a wider market.

“We hope this training can be expanded, both through additional batches or online, considering the large number of cooperative managers in Bogor Regency,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Acting Head of the Bandung Communication and Digital Human Resources Development and Research Centre (BPSDMP Komdigi), Nur Azizah, stated that Bogor Regency has the potential to become a national model in developing the digital capacity of cooperatives.
