The Bogor Regency Government, West Java, is still awaiting the location determination (penlok) from the West Java Governor to continue the land acquisition process for the construction of a dedicated mining transport road.

The Regional Secretary of Bogor Regency, Ajat Rochmat Jatnika, stated in Cibinong on Friday that the process towards issuing the location determination is currently at the stage of validating the Land Acquisition Planning Document (DPPT) within the West Java Provincial Government.

“To reach the location determination to be signed by the Governor, we must complete the Land Acquisition Planning Document (DPPT) under the West Java Housing and Settlement Agency (Disperkim Jabar),” said Ajat.

According to him, once the document is approved, the next step will be the issuance of the location determination by the Governor of West Java.

The delay in issuing the penlok has impacted the planned budget usage for mining road land acquisition this year. The Bogor Regency Government had previously prepared approximately Rp100 billion for land acquisition, but in the 2026 Revised Regional Budget (APBD Perubahan), this budget was reduced to around Rp10 billion because the land acquisition stage could not yet be implemented.

The Regent of Bogor, Rudy Susmanto, explained that the local government chose to adjust the budget because the 2026 fiscal year only has about three months remaining, while the location determination process is still ongoing.

He mentioned that approximately Rp90 billion, which was previously prepared for land acquisition, has been temporarily reallocated to fund education, health, and road infrastructure.

Nevertheless, Rudy ensured that the Bogor Regency Government will continue the land acquisition plan and will replenish the necessary budget in the 2027 Regional Budget.

“While waiting for the location determination from the West Java Provincial Government, we will fully replenish it in January,” he said.

The construction of the road is designed to separate mining material transport vehicles from public roads, thereby increasing road user safety and reducing infrastructure damage in the western region of Bogor Regency.
