Bogor Affected by Mount Anak Krakatau Ash, District Government Services Run Normally

The Bogor District Government (Pemkab) has assured that public services are running normally after ash from the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau affected local residents. Even so, the number of residents visiting the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) is not as high as on ordinary days.

“We can see that services at the Bogor District DPMPTSP Public Service Mall are still running normally. And many people are visiting, although the numbers are indeed not as high as usual,” said the Head of the Bogor District DPMPTSP, Agus Ridho, on Monday (7/9/2026).

He said the decline in the number of applicants was thought to be due to the still-felt effects of the ash. However, services for the public have been assured to continue as normal.

“Perhaps because some residents who were planning to come are reconsidering due to the volcanic ash. And as for us at the Bogor District DPMPTSP Public Service Mall, our services remain normal,” he said.

In addition, the availability of online licensing systems has also reduced the number of in-person applicants. As a result, the majority of applicants who do come are seeking administrative consultations.

“People come directly for things like family cards (KK), identity cards (KTP), and other services that do indeed require offline visits. Because there are 32 services here provided to the public,” he said.

His office is providing masks for visiting applicants. Officers have also been asked to wear masks to minimise the effects of the ash.

“There are no issues; all officers are present, and it is assured that all services are running as usual,” he concluded.

Observations at the site show that services at several offices are still running normally. Residents can still receive administrative services without any disruption.
