Boeing to launch PSN satellite
JAKARTA (JP): Boeing announced on Wednesday it reached an agreement with PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN) to launch PSN's M2A satellite in mid-2003.
Boeing said the satellite would be launched using its Delta IV expendable launch vehicle, and that the terms and conditions of the launch were currently being discussed.
"We are pleased that PSN has selected Delta IV to deploy the M2A, which will provide broadband telecommunications services to Asia," Boeing Delta Launch Services vice president David Schweikle said in a statement.
The M2A, a Loral-built FS1300 communications satellite, will be placed into geosynchronous transfer orbit by a Delta IV Medium+ 5,4 variant rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
"The Delta IV assures us access to space, enabling us to deliver services and maintain our presence as Indonesia's leading satellite telecommunications company," PSN president and CEO Adi R. Adiwoso said in the statement. (tnt)
