Body of Woman Found in Official Car at Juanda Airport Identified as Bangkalan Civil Servant

A woman’s body was found in an official car with government plates in the Juanda Airport area, Sidoarjo Regency. The victim has been identified by her initials RJS (50), who served as the Secretary of the Housing and Settlement Department (PRKP) of the Bangkalan Regency Government.

The family’s legal representative, Risang Bima Wijaya, stated that the victim was last seen leaving for work on Thursday (18/6). Before departing, she said goodbye to her child and mentioned she might not return until Saturday due to a meeting agenda.

“The victim told her child that she might come home on Saturday because of a meeting. But she did not mention where the meeting was or which area she was going to,” Risang said on Wednesday (24/6/2026).

Risang explained that the victim lived with her child in a housing complex near the Bangkalan Regency Government complex. Her husband resides in Tanjung Bumi District, which borders Sampang Regency.

According to Risang, the family began to suspect something was wrong after the victim became difficult to contact on Saturday afternoon. This was unusual because she had still been communicating with her child that morning.

“On Saturday morning there was still communication with her child. But by the afternoon, her mobile phone was no longer active and she could not be reached. That was not normal behaviour for her,” he explained.
