Residents of Labuhan Haji Village, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, were shocked by the discovery of a body on Thursday (4/6/2026). The female body is believed to be that of a person with a mental health disorder.

The head of the Labuhan Haji Police Sector, Iptu Hidayat Syamsuri, stated that officers received a report about the discovery of the body from the public around 9:30 a.m. local time in front of a beachside cafe.

“Initially, there was a report from the public who saw a body found on the edge of Labuhan Haji Beach, specifically in front of Cafe ICA. After receiving the report, we immediately went to the crime scene to secure it,” explained Hidayat.

According to the results of the examination, the victim was named Rohania, a 50-year-old resident of Tanjung Luar Village, Keruak District. The victim is suspected to have had a history of mental health issues.

“The information we received from the family is that the victim had a history of mental health issues,” concluded Hidayat.

The police are currently still conducting a medical examination regarding the cause of the victim’s death.

“Regarding the medical examination results, an examination is currently being carried out to determine the cause of death. Therefore, the complete report is also still in progress,” concluded Hidayat.
