Body of Indonesian Migrant Worker from Jembrana who Died in Russia Arrives 4 March
After nearly two weeks awaiting confirmation, the family of Ni Made Dwi Arya Wati (36) has finally received clarity. The body of an Indonesian migrant worker (PMI) from Pergung Village, Mendoyo District, who died in St. Petersburg, Russia, is scheduled to arrive at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on Wednesday, 4 March.
The confirmed schedule was announced by the Head of the Jembrana Office of Manpower and Industry, Kadek Mirah Ananta Sukma Dewi. She stated that the latest information regarding the cargo flight transporting the body had been received.
“We have received information regarding the repatriation of the Indonesian migrant worker from Russia. According to the latest schedule we have received, the body will arrive in Bali on 4 March 2026,” said Mirah when contacted by detikBali on Sunday, 1 March 2026.
Mirah detailed that the body would depart St. Petersburg on Monday, 2 March 2026, at 23:00 local time. It would subsequently transit in Moscow on Tuesday, 3 March 2026, from 03:30 to 14:40 local time. The aircraft was scheduled to arrive at Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS) on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, at approximately 08:05 Wita (Western Indonesia Time).
“The Indonesian Embassy will continue to monitor the process until the body arrives in Bali and will promptly provide further updates on developments. The cargo schedule may still change depending on flight operational conditions,” said Mirah.
Arya Wati died in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Saturday, 14 February 2026. The mother of one is believed to have passed away from exhaustion due to demanding work activities. The incident occurred while the deceased was serving clients of her partner at her workplace as a spa therapist. According to the family’s account, the deceased had complained of fatigue due to an overwhelming number of customers before finally collapsing at approximately 14:00 local time.
