Body of Former Vice President Try Sutrisno Arrives at Funeral Home

The body of Wakil Presiden RI ke-6 (sixth Vice President of Indonesia) Try Sutrisno arrived at a funeral home in the Menteng area of central Jakarta. The body was received by a number of mourners.

According to observations on location on Monday, 2 March 2026, Try Sutrisno’s body arrived at the funeral home at 09:23 WIB. The body was transported using a funeral vehicle from Komando Garnisun Tetap I/Jakarta (Permanent Garrison Command I/Jakarta).

The atmosphere of grief enveloped the funeral home. The body was immediately taken into the funeral home after being lowered from the funeral vehicle.

Several dignitaries were also observed at the location. Several figures who had arrived at the funeral home included the Special Adviser to President Prabowo Subianto for Political and Security Affairs, General (Retd) Wiranto, and BPIP Chief Yudian Wahyudi.

Try Sutrisno passed away at RSPAD Gatot Subroto Hospital. He died at the age of 90.

According to information received, Try Sutrisno died at 06:58 WIB today. His body is planned to be taken to his residence on Jalan Purwakarta, Menteng, central Jakarta, and will subsequently be buried at Taman Makam Pahlawan Nasional Utama (TMPNU) Kalibata, South Jakarta.
