Body of Corporal Farizal, Who Fell in Lebanon, Now in Repatriation Process
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) has stated that the body of Corporal (Praka) Farizal Rhomadhon, who fell in southern Lebanon, is currently in the process of being repatriated to Indonesia. “The soldier who fell is currently laid to rest at the East Sector Headquarters (HQ) and is in the process of completing the administrative procedures for repatriation to Indonesia, with assistance from the Indonesian Embassy in Beirut,” said the Head of the TNI Information Centre (Kapuspen), Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, when contacted by Kompas.com on Monday (30/3/2026). They are Corporal Rico Pramudia, Corporal Bayu Prakoso, Corporal Farizal Rhomadhon, and Corporal Arif Kurniawan. “Corporal Farizal Rhomadhon has been declared fallen, Corporal Rico Pramudia has sustained serious injuries, while Corporal Bayu Prakoso and Corporal Arif Kurniawan have sustained minor injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment,” Aulia revealed. For medical treatment, the two soldiers with minor injuries are being treated at Hospital Level I UNIFIL, a basic healthcare facility of the UN forces. Meanwhile, the soldier with serious injuries was evacuated by helicopter to St George Hospital in Beirut for further treatment. The TNI stated that this incident occurred amid increasing escalation of conflict in Lebanon, marked by artillery exchanges. As a precautionary measure, the TNI is increasing vigilance for all personnel in accordance with the applicable Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in the UNIFIL mission. “The TNI reaffirms its commitment to carrying out its duties as part of the world peacekeeping mission under the United Nations mandate in a professional and responsible manner, while still prioritising the safety of soldiers,” he explained. In addition, the TNI continues to monitor developments in the situation and prepare emergency measures to address various possibilities (contingencies) according to conditions in the area of assignment in Lebanon.
