Body of Bandung Student Found at Former Kampung Gajah, 2 Killers Arrested!
Jakarta - A seventh-grade student at SMPN 26 Bandung with the initials ZAAQ was found dead lying in the bushes at the former Kampung Gajah tourist attraction in West Bandung Regency, West Java. Police have arrested two murder suspects.
“Two suspects have been arrested,” said West Java Regional Police Public Relations Head Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan, as reported by detikJabar on Sunday (2/15/2026).
Hendra said the police are still investigating the case, including gathering data on the chronology and the suspects’ motive. He said the case is planned to be officially released by the Cimahi Police in the near future.
“We are still completing the data. Preparing for the release,” he said briefly.
The body was discovered on Friday evening (2/13). At the time, TikTok streamers were livestreaming for mystery exploration content. Unexpectedly, they were startled by the discovery of the body.
Before being found dead, the victim had been reported missing since Tuesday (2/10).
“Tuesday evening. Tuesday evening, the child went missing. Until the news came out and was posted in the group chat,” said SMPN 26 Bandung Principal Titin Supriatin on Saturday (2/14).
On Monday (2/9), the victim was known to have still attended school and participated in classes until the end of the day. The victim then went home with his friends.
“So on Tuesday, his aunt informed us that he couldn’t come to school because he hadn’t come home yet,” she said.
