Body Analyzer and Palm Vein Recognition Technology to Facilitate Hajj Pilgrim Screening
Technology solutions provider PT Indo Artha Multitek has introduced a range of smart health innovations and integrated digital security systems. The move is intended to support digital transformation and improve the quality of governance for Hajj and Umrah services in Indonesia. The entire portfolio of advanced technology was exhibited at the International Hajj and Umrah Expo, held at the Jakarta Hajj International Convention Centre (JHICC) in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday. Chief Marketing Officer of PT Indo Artha Multitek, Tania Razif, explained that the integration of information technology has become an absolute necessity to address the future complexity of pilgrim services. Without digitalisation, accelerating service efficiency will be difficult to achieve optimally. ‘We are presenting various solutions, ranging from health technology and pilgrim tracking systems to more efficient data management for the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem,’ Tania stated on Saturday. Two main innovations were highlighted at the exhibition, projected to strengthen the national public service ecosystem. The first is the Body Analyzer, a mass body scanning tool based on Korean technology. The instrument is designed to conduct rapid initial health screenings for prospective Hajj and Umrah pilgrims before departure and has the potential to be placed in public areas such as airports, healthcare facilities, and schools. The second is the Palm Vein Recognition system, an identification and attendance technology based on scanning the vein patterns in the palm of the hand. This biometric variant offers a higher level of accuracy and security compared to fingerprint or retina scanning systems, while minimising physical contact to speed up the pilgrim data verification process. Tania confirmed that all marketed devices and digital systems have obtained official legal permits in Indonesia. The products have passed quality tests, hold the required certifications, and comply with all regulations before being distributed to the public. Through the launch of this new technology line, Tania said the company is committed to opening cross-sector collaboration spaces with government agencies, travel organiser associations, and relevant stakeholders to realise safe, comfortable, and modern Hajj service standards.
