Bocimi Toll Road Section 3 Operationalised During Eid Holiday Rush
The Bocimi Toll Road Section 3 on the Cibadak-Karangtengah access route in Sukabumi Regency, West Java, has been officially operationalised from 14-29 March to ease vehicular congestion during the 2026 Eid exodus and return traffic for the Islamic year 1447 Hijriah.
The Chief Executive Officer of PT Trans Jabar Tol, Abdul Hakim Supriyadi, stated that construction of the Bocimi Toll Road Section 3 remains ongoing. However, coinciding with Ramadan through to the Eid period in 1447 Hijriah, approximately 5 kilometres of the route has been operationalised to assist public mobility.
“The operationalisation of the Bocimi Toll Road Section 3 access route aims to improve the smooth movement of the public and help ease several congestion points on national roads. The public can utilise it free of charge,” Hakim stated in an official release on Saturday (14/3).
Along the operationalised Bocimi Toll Road Section 3 route, the public can avoid congestion points at Cibadak Market, Cikidang Junction, Cibadak Junction or Ratu Junction, and Pamuruyan Bridge. The functional access route operates from 08:00 WIB to 17:00 WIB.
However, operational hours will continue to be evaluated periodically in consultation with relevant authorities. Operationalisation will be adjusted according to traffic conditions on the ground.
The presence of Bocimi Toll Road Section 3 will reduce travel time from Cibadak to West Sukabumi. The journey previously taking up to one hour has been reduced to just 10 minutes.
This functional route is designated for road users travelling from Bogor towards Karangtengah and vice versa. The route cannot be used by road users travelling from Parungkuda Toll Gate towards the Karangtengah access or vice versa.
“This route is only for Class 1 non-bus vehicles with a maximum height of 2.1 metres and a maximum speed of 40 kilometres per hour,” Hakim stated.
The Bocimi Toll Road has a total length of 54 kilometres. To date, 27.25 kilometres of the toll road is operational, comprising Section 1 (Ciawi-Cigombong) at 15.35 kilometres and Section 2 (Cigombong-Cibadak) at 11.9 kilometres.
Section 1 has been operational since 2018, whilst Section 2 since 2023. Meanwhile, Section 3 construction remains in the final stages of development.
