'Bobo' to hold writing contest

JAKARTA: Bobo children's magazine will hold a writing contest
for elementary fourth, fifth and sixth graders from around the
nation with the theme of "Friendship amid Diversity".

The top 30 writers will be invited to participate in the 3rd
annual Children's Conference in Jakarta in October, this year.

Students who want to enter the contest, should send a two-page
writing sample in Bahasa Indonesia -- hand-written or typed -- to
the contest committee (Jl. Palmerah Selatan #22, Central Jakarta
10270) by Sept. 12.

During the conference, the children will be part of a workshop
on pluralism and diversity which will be moderated by noted film
director Garin Nugroho and scholar Komarudin Hidayat.-JP
