Bobby Nasution Begins Working from Nias Islands to Ensure Accelerated Development

North Sumatra Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution has begun working from the Nias Islands this week. The programme of working from the regions is one of Governor Bobby Nasution’s initiatives, aimed at bringing government services closer to the people while ensuring the acceleration of development in the Nias Islands region. “Later, working from the region will alternate with the Deputy Governor,” Bobby said. In July, Bobby plans to tour the Nias Islands to inspect a number of strategic sectors and engage in direct dialogue with the community. Bobby is also scheduled to inspect several schools to ensure that educational facilities and infrastructure are adequate for students. The education sector is one of the priority programmes continuously promoted by the North Sumatra Provincial Government. Additionally, Bobby will inspect various infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, and ports. The visit is a follow-up to inspections he conducted at the beginning of his term as governor. Several findings from previous inspections have been followed up through construction or infrastructure repairs, including the Idano Noyo Bridge, which has now been completed. In the health sector, Bobby will inspect health service facilities to ensure that services to the community are running well and continue to improve. In addition to inspecting various development sectors, Bobby is also scheduled to hold direct dialogues with the people of the Nias Islands and organise a public viewing event with residents in Gunungsitoli City.
