Bobby Kertanegara Steals the Spotlight at Halalbihalal in the Palace

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto’s favourite cat, Bobby Kertanegara, also stole the spotlight during the Idul Fitri halalbihalal at Istana Merdeka, Jakarta, on Saturday (21/6/2026). Bobby, who was in a special stroller initialled “BK”, appeared to greet the guests present. Meanwhile, the atmosphere of the halalbihalal at the Palace was lively. Citizens were seen filling the area of the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. The citizens’ enthusiasm peaked when President Prabowo entered the halalbihalal room at the Palace. The President immediately shook hands with the citizens present at the location. Not only that, the president also accommodated selfies and hugged the citizens who attended. Happy expressions were evident as citizens could shake hands with the president. In addition, a variety of characteristic Nusantara dishes were prepared to entertain the community attending the celebration of Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah at the Palace. He said that the information about the halalbihalal was obtained from television. “Of course (I want to meet the President of the Republic of Indonesia),” he said. State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi emphasised that this open house was specifically intended for the general public. “He does not want to trouble anyone because there might be an agenda or family event. So this afternoon is specifically for the general public, we open it,” he said.
