B&O unveils Beoliving

Bang & Olufsen (B&O) put its final touches on its outlet in Plaza Senayan on Thursday and launched Beoliving, a cozy space with an integrated audio, video and lighting system.

The integrated entertainment system enables home owners to operate the video player, audio system, lighting and curtains via a single remote control.

"We can operate this system with only one remote control," said B&O Retail Development Manager Lasse Hoffmann Huus.

Dozens of journalists, interior designers and customers attending the event gave instant applause at the unveiling of the new product.

During the launch, Huus invited guests to enter the Beoliving model and demonstrated the operation of the remote control. With the push of a button, a U.S.-made Stewart projection screen dropped down from the ceiling as did a Samsung SP-H700AE DPL projector and curtains, while the light dimmed for a better viewing environment.

The Beolab speakers produce incredible sound quality for a price -- $6,350.
