BNPP RI Secures 12th Unqualified Opinion, Reinforcing Budget Accountability in Border Area Management

The National Border Management Agency (BNPP RI) has once again received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK RI) for its 2025 Financial Report. This achievement marks the twelfth consecutive WTP opinion received by BNPP RI and was conveyed through the handover of the Audit Results Report (LHP) at the BPK Tower building in Central Jakarta on Monday (10/8/2026).

The LHP was handed over by BNPP RI Secretary Makhruzi Rahman to the BPK RI audit team led by Director General of State Financial Audit V (Dirjen PKN V) Widhi Widayat.

Makhruzi stated that the BPK RI audit results are an important part of evaluating financial management as well as the implementation of BNPP RI programmes in managing the country’s border areas.

“This Audit Results Report is not merely the fulfilment of an administrative obligation, but serves as an important evaluation instrument for BNPP to assess the effectiveness of budget management and the implementation of border area management programmes,” said Makhruzi.

Makhruzi emphasised that the WTP opinion is a professional statement by BPK RI regarding the fairness of the financial report presentation based on audit results. Therefore, the opinion is not the sole measure of success in financial governance.

“We must interpret the WTP opinion as part of the evaluation and governance improvement process, not as the end of efforts to enhance accountability and compliance in state financial management,” said Makhruzi.

According to him, the BPK RI audit results will serve as evaluation material for BNPP RI to strengthen accountability, transparency, and compliance in state financial management. These efforts are directed at ensuring that the implementation of border area management programmes runs effectively and accountably.
