The National Border Management Agency (BNPP) has assured strengthened services and supervision at the Entikong State Border Crossing (PLBN) to anticipate the surge in cross-border activities ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

Head of PLBN Entikong, Teguh Priyadi, stated that the number of crossers on H-3 before Eid, Wednesday (18/3), reached 2,121 people, increasing in line with the momentum of the Nyepi and Eid holidays that encourage mobility in the Indonesia-Malaysia border area.

“Cross-border traffic began to show an increase on H-3 before Eid. Today, we recorded 2,121 people crossing through PLBN Entikong,” said Teguh in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.

Cumulatively, since the Integrated Eid Service Post 2026 operated on 13 March until H-3 before Eid, the total number of crossers recorded reached 9,568 people, consisting of 3,719 departures and 5,849 arrivals.

According to Teguh, the operation of the Integrated Service Post is a strategic step to maintain smooth traffic while ensuring the security of crossings in the border area.

“We appreciate the Integrated Eid Service Post 2026 at PLBN Entikong, which is running optimally in supervising and ensuring that the cross-border homecoming flow proceeds safely and smoothly,” he said.

In addition to supervision, BNPP has also strengthened rapid response services through cross-agency collaboration. The Integrated Service Post, initiated by the Entikong Police Sector, provides emergency call centre 110 services to accommodate public complaints related to the crossing of people, goods, or vehicles.

“We are collaborating with the Entikong Police Sector to provide call centre 110 services. In addition, ambulance units are available along with support from cross-agency personnel and the Forkopimcam, who are always on standby every day in the PLBN Entikong area,” said Teguh.

He added that the presence of these integrated services is part of efforts to improve the quality of public services in border areas, especially during surges in cross-country homecoming traffic.

The Integrated Eid Service Post 2026 at PLBN Entikong operates daily from 07.00 to 16.00 WIB or 08.00 to 17.00 Malaysian time, with support from personnel from various agencies to ensure optimal services.

BNPP reaffirms its commitment to keeping the crossing process safe, orderly, and comfortable through strengthened coordination and personnel readiness during the Eid period.
