BNPB Urges Integrated Post-Flood Management in Semarang

Head of the National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB), Suharyanto, on Tuesday, 19 May, urged the Semarang City Government to promptly implement the post-disaster flood management scenario following the breach of the Plumbon River embankment in Mangkang Kulon Urban Village, Tugu District, Semarang City. Currently, emergency measures such as closing the breached embankment have been carried out, while permanent steps have been prepared, including plans to widen the river and relocate affected residents.
