The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) has inaugurated physical recovery aid in the form of 50 permanent housing units to accelerate post-social conflict recovery in East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Abdul Muhari, Head of the BNPB Data, Information and Disaster Communication Centre, stated that the social infrastructure was officially opened by BNPB Head Suharyanto at the West Adonara District Office on Thursday. The permanent housing and primary life-support facilities were built centrally in Bugalima Village. In addition to the residential units, BNPB inaugurated two boreholes to guarantee clean water availability for the affected residents. Logistical support was also distributed, including staple food packages, folding mattresses, blankets, kitchen equipment, sanitation packages, and children’s snacks. Following the ceremonial agenda, the BNPB leadership and local government officials inspected the placement of the permanent housing units and boreholes in Bugalima Village. The event was attended by the East Flores Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, the Deputy Regent of East Flores, the Speaker of the East Flores Regional House of Representatives, and representatives from various ministries and agencies. The East Flores Regency Government and traditional leaders expressed high appreciation for the central government’s swift action through BNPB in restoring social stability and facilitating physical reconstruction in West Adonara. The activity concluded with a peace pledge and the exchange of woven sarongs as a symbol of reconciliation between the community leaders of Ilepati and Bugalima.
