Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Center Abdul Muhari noted the agency had mobilized its regional office, or BPBD, in Bogor to ensure adequate access to clean water for the public.

“BPBD personnel are working to distribute clean water to villages reeling from supply crises due to the dry season,” he said in a statement received here on Thursday.

Muhari explained the BPBD recently deployed water tanks to residential areas across three sub-districts facing significant declines in water discharge.

In detail, he reported 4,000 liters for Hambalang Village, Citeureup Subdistrict; 2,500 liters for Gadog Village, Megamendung Subdistrict; and 5,000 liters for Sukajaya Village, Sukajaya Subdistrict.

He also assured the public of intensive monitoring of drought risks across West Java by the BNPB Directorate of Operation Control.

Furthermore, he said the central agency would continue coordinating with the Bogor BPBD to guarantee access to clean water for hygiene and drinking purposes.
