Jakarta - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has distributed the first tranche of its third-phase stimulus aid, valued at Rp93.75 billion, for the repair of homes damaged by floods and landslides in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh.

BNPB Chief Suharyanto stated in Jakarta on Monday that the stimulus funds are specifically allocated to repair residential properties categorised as lightly or moderately damaged.

“This assistance is provided to 4,400 heads of families affected by the hydrometeorological disaster caused by Cyclone Senyar. We request that these funds be used responsibly according to their intended purpose, which is specifically for home repairs,” said Suharyanto, who also serves as Deputy Chair of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction in Sumatra.

He detailed that from the total third-phase funds, Rp38.25 billion is allocated for 2,550 households with lightly damaged homes, whilst Rp55.50 billion is distributed to 1,850 households with moderately damaged homes.

The government has pledged that if the community fully utilises the stimulus budget by June, the BNPB will immediately realise the disbursement of the next phase of aid in July.

Previously, in the first phase, the BNPB had disbursed Rp42.06 billion for 2,804 households with light damage and Rp70.11 billion for 2,337 households with moderate damage, followed by a second phase of Rp35.04 billion for 2,336 households with light damage and Rp51.66 billion for 1,722 households with moderate damage.

He added that all survivors whose homes were severely damaged have been confirmed as relocated from refugee tents, whilst residents with tenant status who do not hold land ownership rights have been facilitated to occupy temporary shelters.

Through this accumulation of humanitarian aid, the government hopes the pace of social and economic recovery for the people of Aceh Tamiang following the November 2025 floods can progress significantly compared to conditions seven months ago.

“We have a strong commitment to continue improving and providing the best assistance for the community,” Suharyanto affirmed.
